A superb and stunning Chinese jade vase, has a square body with flared open mouth and four low foot. It's carved with a set of four flanges, two flanks on each sections. The mid-section is finely carved with archaic patterns simulating the taotie masks of the seeing eyes, and other auspicious symbols. The trumpet neck has four large lappets rising towards the flared rim. Lion heads creates shoulder pieces with U-shaped curls extending from the mouth outward eventually connecting further down the vessel to complete the handle grips. The composition is sophisticated and the Jade golden russet inclusions colors are simply a feast for the eye. A portion of this high-grade Jade is considered quite rare. Expert workmanship is the absolute highlight of this gorgeous vase.
