16th C. Chinese Ming Dynasty Jiajing reign Sancai glazed sgraffito wrapped Chrysanthemum floral porcelain double gourd bottle vase. Potted in a shape of double gourd resemblance, with two bulbous belly conjoined together, suspending a tall cylindrical neck, squared bulbous lower section finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top, with narrow opening. The exterior is decorated with sgraffito shallow carving of chrysanthemum blooms, interspersed by green underglaze scrolling floral vines, all reserved in a pale yellow under-glazed ground.The under base bear a reign mark, a vertical six under-glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed by double fine rings, Made in The Year of Jiajing reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
