Two Chinese embroidered silk shawls of different sizes from the 19th to early 20th century. One shawl is purple silk with gold tone embroidered flowers and colorful embroidered birds in the center. The other shawl is yellow with floral embroidery. Both shawls have fringe and are square in form. Dimensions are: for the purple 61 inches tall X 61 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: One has some water damage and mild staining. The yellow shawl has minor tears. Provenance: From a multi-generational French -American family collection.
