此为一中小型官皮箱，以黑红相间的黄花梨直纹料制成，如虎皮之灿然。皮壳干洁。盝顶式，侧面花纹如水波荡漾。自上盖下沿往上包铜角，延伸至盝顶处，结合紧密结实。前方卧平装圆形铜面叶、铜如意纹拍子，稍下方又卧平装铜矩形面叶、铜瓶形小吊牌。铜合页亦卧平安装。侧面铜提手、垫片具全，甚至有连接上盖的铰链，打开后可以斜向拉住箱盖。铜锈肌理丰富而细密，颇有苍古之味。箱门边框、门心皆采用纹路对称者，具大流水纹。底座微膨出，较平素，只在下方挖壸门线。官皮箱是明式家具中较为常见的品类，实为古代鉴妆，盛放化妆用具和文玩杂项之用。此官皮箱原皮壳，保存完整，用料规矩，制作精细，铜饰件完整，状态极佳。
