扶手椅紫檀制成，色泽沉稳内敛，质感细密。搭脑连弧状，两端与腿足相接后勾卷如翅。靠背上部镂雕为变体如意纹，下部为相对的双夔龙纹组成，夔龙身躯曲折变化，往前变为相抵的勾云纹，往后则衍化为后背边框，与搭脑联为一体。扶手中间空敞，周匝以回首夔龙纹的身躯曲折而成。座面素冰盘沿，硬屉镶板而成。束腰与牙板一木连做，柔和转折。牙板中间垂如意云头，斜铲浮雕边缘，两侧翻小翅。腿足微有素混面，下端内卷回纹马蹄腿。腿间格角装管脚枨，枨下附牙条。此扶手椅做法具有浓郁的广作家具风格，至迟制作于乾隆时期。广作家具是宫廷家具中最为经典和常见的类型，因广东临海，当地工匠又能工擅雕，故而清宫中大批量和大体量的家具多在广州制作后进奉宫廷，所谓『广作宫廷』家具，此椅即属于此类。
