Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Emperor Reign period, Fine porcelain Zong vase. Chinese douqing Zong vase in a pale celadon glaze. Thick potted, lofted rectangular body fashioned with feminine neckline, numerous emerge rings lines along the body. The shape of the Zong with its square and circular shape could be interpreted as 'the unity of heaven and earth' where the square represents the earth and a circle represents the heaven. The color is balanced, elegant and exquisite. The whole piece is raised on a small disk-shaped foot. The glaze terminates just before the end of the base revealing a dark charred clay. This piece displays a subtle sheen as the light ricochets across the finely glazed exterior. The Under-base bears reign mark, a six underglaze blue seal script characters reign mark, Made In The Years of Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.Measurements: Height: 10-7/8" Diameter: 7-1/4" PROVENANCE:From the estate of Harold & Mousser, of York, Pennsylvania, an entrepeneurs, private collections, acquired pre-1970's from Fluhrer's Galleries, York, PA.
