始于晚唐胜于南宋的吉州窑，是一个极富民间特色的南方瓷窑。它盛产黑瓷，尤其以它的木叶贴花和剪纸贴花黑瓷技艺为世人所知。这两种陶瓷技艺也仅见于吉州窑。木叶贴花是将树叶用水浸泡，除去叶肉保存叶茎和叶脉，然后贴在已施黑釉的器物内，再施上一层透明釉经过高温一次烧制而成。木叶贴花的珍贵之处就在于它对自然的保留。它将精心选取的自然精华，美好完整地呈现在世人眼前，就像凝结了昆虫的琥珀。此盏内外施黑釉，圈足露胎，釉面莹润漆黑。碗底内有木叶纹，色近乎暖黄，与黑釉底色相得益彰。木叶的筋络分明，呈曲卷折迭姿态，极具天然美感。
