大日如来佛是释迦牟尼的三身之一，也是密教所供奉的五方佛之一。他是表示绝对真理的佛身，代表法界体性智，其智慧之光能遍照一切，能使三千大千世界永放光明。此尊佛像头生螺髻，宝珠顶严，头戴五佛宝冠。佛尊面相圆润丰满，细眉修长，双目微阖，双耳垂珰，甚具沉静庄严之相。其身披帛带，胸前璎珞及腰，下着僧裙，全跏趺坐于蒲团上，双手于胸前结毗卢印，观其神色沉静，衣着华丽，褶皱自然流畅，为典型的汉地造像风格，铸造雕工皆属上乘。
