A Chinese famille rose brush holder and water coupe featuring landscape scenes and dating from the late 19th century. Dimensions are: the brush holder measures 6 1/2 inches tall X 2 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is a chip to the base of the brush holder and the coupe has a chip to 2 corners. Provenance: From the estate of Mr. Kwok Woon Kun, formerly a shareholder of Wing On Company, a well-known department store group in Hong Kong and Shanghai. This collection was collected in Hong Kong prior to Mr. Kwok's death in 1969. His collection was shipped to Canada in 1981 and was inherited by Mr. Kwok’s daughter and grandson. Items from the same collector were sold at our September Fine Asian Art & Antiques auctions, 2019.
