This stoneware charger depicts three samurai invivid colors. The charger is 14 ¼ inches in diameter and has applied enamelsdone in the moriage style. The charger was made in the Seto area of Japan anddates to the 19 th century. The only other chargers of this nature we have found were attributed to Kozan but we do not know the maker of this one.  The charger has some lightcrazing. There are two tiny spots of loss, one on the front and one on theback. The spots of loss may be original. As with most stoneware, this is quiteheavy weighing 6 lbs and 6 ounces.
