A Japanese Glazed Stoneware Vessel with Bird Decoration, 19th Century. Of rectangular form on four feet. The walls elaborately decorated in iron-brown and a paler orange-brown, with flying birds amongst clouds, the upper part decorated with geometric patterns. The glaze finely-crackled. Length 28.5cm, width 20.5cm, height 11cm.
