A Chinese Warring States Bronze Mirror (Ex. Bluetts / Lepileur Collection). Cast in low relief with stylized interlocking phoenixes. Patina with malachite and cuprite encrustation. Warring States period (475 – 221 BC). Diameter 13.5cm. With fitted box with label of Bluett & Sons, London.
Provenance: from the collection of the late Brian Page (1938-2018), the well-known Oriental art and antiques dealer from Brighton, and previously in the Jean-Claude Lepileur Collection of Chinese Archaic Bronzes & Works of Art.
