A good mid-19th century Chinese carved ivory junk featuring finely pierced and well modelled detail throughout, with numerous stained ivory figures, with engraved text to front, middle and rear, approx 58.5 x 65cm (including mast), presented in glazed display case, case 76 x 80 x 34cm. Additional Information Considering the age and fragility, this item is in good condition. There are some small breakages and loose pieces, some sections, particularly the panels to the rear section of the boat are loose and will need some attention. Some minor losses, some natural hairlines, some small chips, some lifting to the panels of the decking, one of the figures has lost part of his pole. Buildup of dirt and dust, some breakages to the finely pierced panels again, would encourage reference to illustrations for further detail.
