天球瓶是明初受西亚文化影响而烧造的瓷器，创烧于明代永乐时期。流行于清代雍正、乾隆时期，是宫廷最为名贵的陈设用瓷之一。瓶圆口，细长颈，圆鼓腹，腹部下方渐敛，圈足，瓶里及足底均施白釉。通体满施豇豆红釉，口沿因高温熔融状态下釉层垂流而显露白色胎体。红釉色泽鲜艳夺目，色泽均匀细润，且通体颜色一致，极为难得。此瓶造型线条优美，小巧可人，小器大做，一丝不苟。
