嘎乌，为藏语音译，意指能够随身携带的小型佛龛。藏传佛教信众往往于出门时佩戴嘎乌，一来为祈求本尊护持，二来可以于修法时取出供奉。此件嘎乌外层佛龛为木质，龛盖为镂空雕刻，上有华丽繁复的缠枝花卉图案。嘎乌内供奉有叶衣佛母擦擦，叶衣佛母身具三面，头戴五叶冠，面容丰肥，表情各异。上身躯体裸露，帔帛自两肩垂顺而下，飘逸婉转。左上臂持莲花，左中臂持宝弓，右上臂持斧子，右中臂持箭矢，最下两臂端举于胸前，分持绳索和金刚杵。下身围有叶片组成的短裙，为此尊的典型标志，双腿呈跪坐姿态，下承莲花座。整件嘎乌设计巧妙，工艺精湛，外部经过长年累月的佩戴，已经泛起了亮泽的光芒，可见其加持力之强，非常适合随身携带。
