Estate Item...French Haviland & Co Limoges tankard jug or pitcher. The pitcher dates to 1888 to 1896 with Haviland & Co. marks on bottom. The green underglaze mark is H&Co. L France. The red overglaze factory decorating mark is Haviland & Co Limoges. The blank is Ranson? and it is a large jug. The height is 8 ½” to 9”, The pattern is one of small pink blossoms on thin brown stems, with small pale green leaves with a pale gray shadow. I have looked at Schleiger patterns, but there are so many I have not been able to figure out which pattern this one is. It also has a nice pink border around the top. there or daubs of gold on the bottom and on the handles with a gold ribbon like handle. The pitcher is in excellent antique condition with no damage on outside though it does show grime on the inside bottom which I have not tried to remove.. There is a modest amount of wear to gold. There are no chips, nicks, cracks or crazing.
