Sidney Richard Percy (1821-1886) A hilly landscape with figures on a path between cornfields, and sheep grazing nearby signed 'S R Percy' and dated '71 l.r., oil on canvas 27 x 48cm Condition report: Oil on canvas which has been lined. The texture of the canvas is evident in the paint layer, exacerbated by lining. There appears to be an old damage at the bottom of the clouds, the overpaint here has lightened over time. Overall the paint layer is stable. The varnish is glossy, even and slightly yellowed. There is dirt and dust across the surface including brown spots.
