William Vivian Tippet (1833-1910) The harvest wagon signed 'W V Tippet' and dated 1900 l.l. oil on canvas 51 x 77cm Condition report: Oil on canvas which is unlined. The canvas has good tension and is in plane but has suffered from damages which have been repaired from the reverse with canvas patches. The damages have been crudely filled and overpainted. There is extensive overpaint in the sky. The painting has a network of age and drying cracks. In the sky the cracks are lifting and there are several vulnerable areas of flaking and loss. The varnish is glossy and even. The frame is in a good condition overall.
