A HENAN BLACK-GLAZED CERAMIC AMPHORA VASE, SONG DYNASTY China, Song dynasty (960-1279). Thickly potted, the baluster body rising from the flat base to a short waisted neck and everted lip, the rounded shoulder applied with four evenly spaced lug handles, the vase covered in a lustrous black glaze stopping unevenly above the foot, revealing the buff ware.
