A COPPER-RED GLAZED DISH, DAOGUANG MARK AND PERIOD China, 1821-1850. The shallow rounded sides rising from a tapered short foot rim, covered overall in a dark red glaze thinning to white at the rim, the base with a clear glaze and an underglaze-blue Daoguang seal mark and of the period. Provenance: From a Private English Collection formed by the late J.C. Wright, Esq., and thence by descent in the same family. Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and firing irregularities. One shallow chip to rim with old filling and minuscule touchup.
