'ENTRANCE OF ANGKOR THOM WITH BUDDHISTIC MONKS' BY SOPHANNARITH (BORN 1960) Sophannarith Thou, one of Cambodia's most prestigious artists; born in 1960 and student from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. In 2000 he was acknowledged as an "Honorable Painter" by the Ministry of Culture of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Oil on canvas, mounted on a stretcher and framed. Powerfully painted with three Buddhist monks below the ancient Thom stone entrance, the lower left signed Sophannarith.
