32 x 32 cm Condition Style of Cheng Zhengkui (1606-?), China, ca. 18th ct., Landscape with Pavilion and Boat. Album leave, framed under glass, ink and light colours on paper. Unsigned, on the upper right two seals: "Cheng Zhengkui", "Qingxi". Six collectors' seals: "Zizi sunsun shibao yongzhi", "Deyu shending", "Longxi Lin shi biwan", "Xiang shi Zijing jianding zhencang" (Xiang Yuanbian, 1525-1590), "shaotang yanyun guoyan zhi wu", "kongshi (yue)xuelou shoucang". Cheng Zhengkui, style name Qingxi daoren, was a high official at the beginning of the Qing dynasty and member of the Hanlin Academy. In 1657 he went back to Nanking and devoted himself to calligraphy and painting.-Acquired at Nagel, Stuttgart, 8th May 2009, auction 37A, no. 409.
