Wu Xuerang, style name Tuibo, from Yuechi in Sichuan, studied ink painting at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou. He was famous for his modern, strong, and distinct painting style. He later became a painting teacher at various universities in Taiwan and moved to the US in 1997.
