H. 70 cm Condition A GILT-WOOD FIGURE OF GUANYIN, China, 18th ct., seated elegantly in rajalilasana on a shaped plinth with her right hand placed on her lap while the left rests on her raised knee, clad in an inner garment secured with a belt and a wide-sleeved mantle covering both shoulders and falling in broad folds over her legs, her face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below black painted eyebrows that run into the nose-bridge, red coloured smiling lips, her blue coloured hair coiffed in a chignon secured with a tiara and covered with a textile panel with streamers falling on both shoulders-Property from a German private collection, bought in June 2013 from Bukowski's in Stockholm-Damages due to age, minor repairs
