A Shapland and Petter Arts and Crafts oak hanging shelf, c.1900, formed of a single open shelf supported by shaped brackets above a stencil painted scene of Medieval pilgrims, stamped to reverse 'R861' over '142', approx. height 52cm, width 78cm, depth 20cm Condition: The shelf is in generally fair condition, the joints are all tight and there are no major cracks or losses, there is an area of water damage to the top of the shelf approximately 36cm long, a large streak of paint on the left hand edge and some to the reverse, general stains and markings over the rest of the piece and bumps to the corners, there is some fading and cracking to the painted panel
