A 19th century Chinese carved hardwood open armchair having shaped scroll carved crest rail and pierced back splat carved with a central shou symbol, flower and gourds framed by ruyi sceptres a bat, the arms with carved lotus splats, on square legs joined by outer stretchers height 96 cm., width 62 cm., depth 47.5 cm Condition: Fair condition. The seat pane has shrunk so there is now a gap between the pane and the seat rail. There is filler on this front rail. left arm join has some movement. Filler also used on right arm front top joined on the curve
