A Regency/William IV Colonial Carved Ebony Specimen-top Table, Sri Lankan. The hexagonal top inset with radial segments of various exotic timbers bordered in parquetry chevron bands outlined with white metal stringing. The moulded edge carved with plumed C-scrolls above an ogee moulded frieze accommodating a drawer. The top supported on two scrolling supports enriched with carved rosette roundels and sprays of crested foliage. leading down to an carved oval platform on four voluted feet, 29¼" (74.5 cm) high, 20½" (52 cm) wide.
