A Pair of 19th Century Damascus Folding Chairs elaborately carved with scrolling & interlaced strap-work and enriched with inlaid mother-of-pearl floral motifs. The shaped top rail centred by a round petalled crest and incorporating two panels of calligraphy, above a curved slatted back composed of five bars sweeping down to the interlocking pivoted seat 40" (102 cm) high, 15¼" (39 cm) in width.
