An Elamite bull's head appliqué, 3rd - 2nd millennium B.C.Impressively stylised bull's head appliqué. Sheet silver with lateral horns. Perforated around the perimeter, one remaining rivet pin. The centre featuring a face with recessed round eyes, eyebrows, and nose. Surmounted by a nearly face-shaped gold sheet attached with rivets. Apparently an early ritual object. Intact except for a small chipping of the upper edge. Length 13 cm. Width 17 cm. Weight 72 g. Provenance: Swiss private collection.Condition: II -
