An Elamite-Sumerian bronze mirror, 2nd millennium B.C.Slightly convex mirror. The original surface beautifully polished, but corroded in large parts. With a strong handle in the shape of a palm trunk. Drooping leaves on the sides each with a stylised snake's head. The mirror mount decorated with engraved geometric patterns. The handle in full bronze casting. Intact without additions. Spectacular in this size and condition! Length 33.5 cm. Diameter 21.5 cm. Provenance: A private collection M.
