A pair of silver Elamite dove pendants, circa 3000 - 2500 B.C.Two seated doves with their heads turned to the left. With inlaid eyes (one inlay lost). Eyelet at back below the base of the neck (one a modern restoration). One head stabilised/restored at the neck. Silver (hollow casting), partially with corrosion. Of high artistic quality. Length 4 cm. Height 3 cm. Total weight 28.2 g. Rare, early dove miniatures. Cf. Pierre Amiet, Elam (1966), p. 124, fig. 85.Provenance: Private collection in Rhineland-Palatinate, inherited from the father.Condition: II
