A South German sword, Bronze Age, 15th - 14th century B.C.Sword with an octagonal full hilt. The cross-section of the blade is curved on both sides with stepped cutting edges. The hilt attached to the blade with two rivets. The hilt divided into five sections by five cross bands with circular ornamentation. The pommel ornamentally decorated on both sides. Tip missing, otherwise in excellent condition. With beautiful river patina. Length 63.5 cm. Provenance: From the estate of a South German collector.Condition: II -
