A bronze idol formed as a standing female figure wearing a long collared garment, feet protruding from beneath, long arms held by sides with oversized hands, fingers outstretched, detailing to the long face and dressed hair or headdress; suspension loop to rear of head. Cf. Mooney, P.R.S., Ancient Persian Bronzes in the Adam Collection. Faber & Faber, 1974, p. 163, fig. 144, for a stylistically similar example. 45.3 grams, 83mm (3 1/4"). From a private family collection formed in London from the mid 1980s to early 1990s. Condition Report Fine condition.
