A ‘REALGAR’ GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE, 1700-1820 China. Of compressed ovoid form, rising from an oval foot with recessed base towards a straight cylindrical neck. The glass of ochre color with gradient striations, one shoulder with darker brown shadings, and yellow-white spotted inclusions.

Provenance: English trade. By repute from a private estate.
Condition: Some nibbling to the lip and base, a chip and hairlines to the lip and shoulders.

Stopper: Metal stopper with filigree and coral beads, carved spoon.
