A LADY’S BLUE SUMMER GAUZE COURT ROBE, LATE QING DYNASTY China, 19^th century. Embroidered to the blue ground with nine five-clawed dragons amidst lingzhi clouds and above a hem of cresting waves and lishui stripes. One dragon on the inner panel. Gilt metal buttons attached.

Provenance: From a private collection in Northern California, USA. Acquired in the 1980 or 1990s.
Condition: Very good condition. Some wear, loose threads, fading, minuscule gaps to backside near the collar.
