Dimensions: 165.1mm H x 103.31mm W Weight:752.2g Stand: 2-1/2" H Chinese jade carved Bodhisattva Buddha figure of Manjushri both riding a lion. One of the five forms of Manjushri representing the five terraces of Wutaishan mountain in China, depicted in the Manjushri Lhakhang in Sakya, Tibet, intended as meditational deities. He holds two lotus blossoms that support a golden wheel on his right and a water flask on the left. Two beautiful feet seated in royal ease posture, with left leg extended and right leg drawn in. Adorned with many attractive silks and jewels, beautified with blue hair in tufts and some loose gracefully to the shoulder. A lion with the head looking to the right. The jade carved Buddha elegantly displayed upon a purple orange silk wrapped pedestal hardwood stand.
