Dimensions: (EACH) 273.05mm H x 86.81mm W Weight: 1153g Stand: 1-3/4" HVery Fine Chinese carved Jade vase adorned with Fu-bat facade handles. Voluptuous cavity drifts upward into a slender neck eventually meeting the octagonal lid and angular finial. Mirrored Fu-bat head handles are appended on either side of the neck with slender hook-shaped grips issuing forth from the bats apertures. Suspended free rings hang around each holder. Fu can mean "prosperity and good fortune” which is why the bat has become a symbol for good luck. Intricately incised design traverses all faces seamlessly, to create a precise beauty. Nephrite has mottled appearance with scattered inclusions along with a beautiful transparent chalk-white tone. Both vases rest on top of a four-footed hardwood stand.
