A group of 4 Chinese carved coral figures of women dating from the 19th century. Included are the group are: a woman holding a fan which does not come with a stand, a woman holding prayer beads which comes with a stand, a woman holding a fan which comes with a stand, and the largest woman holding two objects which comes with a stand. Dimensions are: the largest figure measures 3 1/2 inches tall X 1 inches wide X 1/4 inches deep, 8.89 cm X 2.54 cm X 0.64 cm, while the smallest figure without the stand measures 2 1/2 inches tall X 3/4 inches wide, 6.35 cm X 1.91 cm. Weights: the figure with the fan without a stand weighs 21.35 grams, the figure holding prayer beads with the stand weighs 14.45 grams, the figure holding a fan with the stand weighs 15.85 grams, and the largest figure with the stand weighs 26.11 grams. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The coral without a stand holding a fan has chips and the fan is broken, the figure holding prayer beads has significant natural variation and a crack to the shoulder, the woman with a fan and a stand has significant natural variation, and the largest figure holds something broken off in each hand with multiple areas of overpainting. The 3 stands are glued to the figures. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
