A set of Chinese bronze lock elements and latches dating from the Qianlong period. The lot includes two locks, which are incised with a pair of dragons chasing flaming pearls over a wave and rock motif. These locks come with two long keys. The lot also includes two bronze latches with ruyi-form heads. Dimensions are: the largest lock measures 3 1/4 inches tall X 10 1/4 inches long X 1 1/8 inches wide, 8.3 cm X 26 cm X 2.9 cm. The smallest latch measures 2 inches tall X 2 1/4 inches long X 4 1/4 inches wide, 5.1 cm X 5.7 cm X 10.8 cm. Weight: the whole lot together weighs 2738 grams. All measurements are approximate.
