王贤统 1929年生。1951年参加上海连环画研究班进行学习，并加入上海连环画作者联谊会。1956年成为各美术出版社特约作者。1965年进入上海少年儿童出版社美编室工作。代表作有《王六郎》、《九件衣》、《五姑娘》。
Born in 1929, Wang Xiantong started his career as a student of the Shanghai Comic Book Research Class in 1951 before he formally became a member of Shanghai Comic Book Writers' Association. In 1956, Wang became a contributing author for various fine arts publishing houses worked until 1965 when he was hired by Shanghai Juvenile & Children's Publishing House as an editor. His works include Wang Liulang, Nine Pieces of Clothes and The Fifth Chinese Daughter.
