此件材质色泽金黄，质地凝润，系选取上好玛瑙雕琢而成。整体圆雕为荷叶形，叶脉清晰可见，沿口微卷起，上爬一青蛙，背面枝梗一束，边缘琢一盛开荷花，刻画生动，别有一番夏日荷塘的意境。带有原配雕花底座。荷花寓意着高洁、典雅、真、善、美，苏轼《江神子·江景》中有“一朵芙蕖，开过尚盈盈”。该件器物用料考究，器型美观，艺术感极强，是难得的文房玉雕佳作。参考：2013年北京匡石
