舞人为白玉质，双面工，细腻温润，光气纯熟，包浆厚重。片雕舞人，站立舞动状，五官刻画具体，身着长袖裙，一手过头，一手甩袖，扭动身姿，翩翩起舞，上下两端均有孔洞，可穿系佩挂。玉舞人是高古玉器中的一个特殊品种，起源于战国，盛行于汉代。汉代以后偶有仿古摹制，但数量不多，因此古代玉舞人的传世实物极少，较为珍贵罕见。参考：《Chinese Jade throughout the ages》P56；《中国出土玉器全集1》P19
