此件为白玉质，温润细腻，光气柔和，留有原皮，巧雕而成。器呈近椭圆形，圆雕“秋山”画意，一虎行走于山石之间，树叶茂密，野趣浓郁，顶部有一矩形孔，可供穿系佩挂。辽、金帝王贵族有春秋捺鉢的习俗。春天湖泊猎鹅，放海东青鹰隼捕捉，秋天山林狩鹿，后以海东青捕鹅图称“春水图”，山林群鹿图为“秋山图”，有关玉雕分别称作“春水玉”、“秋山玉”。参考：《玉苑聚珍·安徽省文物总店玉器藏品集》P133
