此件为白玉质，洁白油润。镂雕青龙、白虎、朱雀、玄武纹，交织缠绕，生动形象。一面光素无纹，打磨光滑。《易·系辞上》：“易有太极，是生两仪，两仪生四象，四象生八卦。”天之四象，来自于上古星宿崇拜。古人将天空中的二十八星宿按东西南北，根据其形象划分为四象，即青龙、白虎、朱雀、玄武。古人认为四象具有祛邪、避灾、祈福的作用。四象时常被运用于战场上的军列，成为打仗时的保护神。整体选材精良，工艺精湛，为乾隆时的玉雕精品。记录：文物公司旧藏
