A Chinese yellow silk ladies garment, 19th century, China, A fine yellow silk woven and embroidered manchu style robe with blue silk interior. The sleeve borders in cream with embroidered birds and florals. L ca. 107 cm, Generally in good condition. A few small issues, on the back there is a band of discoloration (the fabric has lightened there) and there is a small loose piece near the collar. A few small stains on the inside. No restoration. Provenance: this garment was collected in the 1950 s in Hong Kong and was kept very carefuly stored by the collector and descendants.
