A Chinese manchu style yellow silk ladies robe, Late Qing, ca. late 19th century or early 20th century, China, The yellow silk with subtle woven dragon roundels and colourful embroidered motifs. Also with applied embroidered roundels containing valuables executed in the forbidden stitch. The interior of a light blue silk. L ca. 100 cm, Generally in good condition. A few small spots and tiny stains (see photos). No restoration. Provenance: Dorotheum Vienna, april 2004, sold as a an informal lady s over-garment for a member of the imperial household .
