青黄玉质，雕作玉琮，周身布满斑驳红沁。玉琮器形规整，边角裁切平直，轮廓分明。中间开孔阔大，外部方形占比较少。内壁打磨圆润，外壁四侧刻饰弦纹，形成统一制式的四角。整器形制简约稳重，线条平直硬朗。此玉琮从造型到纹饰线条都极为刚劲简约，具有文化期风格。玉琮，是古代礼器，《周礼》中记其为六种“瑞玉”之一。玉琮在新石器时代，已是一种典型器物，意义有多种解释。后世有“苍璧礼天，黄琮礼地”之说，认为璧和琮象征着天圆地方，是重要的祭祀礼仪用器。
