Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. This dainty aqua-tinged bowl sits on a ring base, the body flares up to a rolled lip, and the rim extends into a deep interior cavity with a prominent central kick. This translucent piece developed beautiful rainbow iridescence throughout as it aged. This is a splendid example of Roman artistry that would have been used for household dining.
