清代彩瓷色彩缤纷，各种色地与其上的彩绘争奇斗艳，尽显古人高雅的配色之能，是我国拥有极高色彩美术素养的见证。本品之色地即为极少见的米黄色，比娇黄、柠檬黄之类更为淡雅，配以釉下青花，对比醒目鲜明。龙纹于其中若隐若现，近看方见其圆眼怒睁，指爪犀利，有拨云忽见月的戏剧感。加之外壁口沿细细描绘的矾红开光花卉纹，又增添了精致感。装饰效果新颖，大胆中显露斯文，等级颇高。
