Carved white bone, possibly buffalo. China, late Eastern Zhou Dynasty (4th-2nd
century BC)

Two rhyton-shaped libation cups made from tubular bone segments with inset base. Each cup decorated with flat ornamental relief and an attached handle. One cup with a trapezoid plate handle with similar curved line ornament, on the wall decoration with curved lines growing into a central cicada motif. The other cup with loop handle with wave band, on the wall a corresponding line ornament, but without the cicada. Both cups with diagonal rim and elongated spout. One cup with an attached collector’s label reading: ‘171 RHC Loving cups, Zhou Dyn, Bone, 1200 [in red], condition excellent for the material, pair of his and hers’.

Shape: Tubular cups on an oval base with flaring sides and upright elongated spout, both with handles.
Dimensions: 6,6 cm (height of the loop handle cup), 6,2 cm (height of the plated handle cup)
Condition: One cup with chipped rim and a missing part, repaired loop handle and filled crack underneath the spout, both cups with inset base and attached handle

一對東周鈣化骨杯
鈣化白骨，可能為水牛骨

兩個有管狀骨段執柄杯，一個杯子浮雕曲
綫及蟬圖案，另一個杯子也有相似曲綫圖
案但是沒有蟬。兩個被子都有對焦邊緣和

形狀：管狀杯，底部為橢圓形，細長杯嘴，
都有手柄
尺寸：6,6 厘米(環柄杯高度), 6,2 厘米 (平
柄杯高度)
一個杯子邊緣有磕損並缺失一部分，執柄
修復過，杯嘴底部有裂縫。兩個杯子都有
底座和附加手柄
